entrepreneur-593362_960_720Want to know the very first thing you should do if you want to get started building an online business?

Just get started.

Start taking action now.

Dreaming, wishing, thinking it over… All this can go on for ever.

The time is never completely right to start a business. Wait and you’ll always be waiting. Believe me, I’ve been through this myself.

But once you actually begin work on your business startup, things will be moving and you’ll be off and on your way much quicker than you imagined.

So I’ve put together an easy 5-Step Action Plan to help get you started building your Internet business with the minimum of fuss.

Here’s My 5-Step Action Plan To Get Started With Your Online Business Step 1: Decide What Your Business Is Going To Do

Before you begin building a website you need to plan what your business is going to do.

All businesses basically involve selling something, whether it’s a product or a service.

There are two basic possible paths for all businesses:

  • Either you sell your own product
  • Or you sell someone else’s product

You might already have a product you’ve created yourself.

But it’s more likely you’ll be looking to go into business selling someone else’s product.

Affiliate marketing makes selling someone else’s product online relatively straightforward. You can work with affiliate merchant networks that let you sell their products via your own website in return for paying you sales commission.

But before you select a product, you need to decide which niche market you are going to serve.

You must identify who your customers are and how to reach them. You need to be clear about the need your business is going to meet.

To help you with this, I’ve written an article which goes into this process in detail.

Once you know what your business is going to do, you can then register a domain name for your website and arrange your web-hosting.

This might sound technical, but setting up a domain and web-hosting isn’t that difficult.

The next step is to set up your website.

By far the easiest and best way to do this is to use the excellent Weebly service.

Weebly is a professional website builder and web-hosting service that lets you design and build your website yourself.

Weebly is by far the easiest and fastest website builder out there. What’s more you can even try it out for free.

Your email list will serve as your database of prospects and customers.

You should start building an email list right from the beginning.

This is very important for your business, so make sure that you set this up right away.

To have long term success in starting and running your new online startup, you need to get some practical training.

Online business is a fairly new sector and there’s a lot to learn and implement. All this takes time.

It can take even longer if you try to work it all out by yourself. Mistakes can also be costly.

Rather than trying to discover everything yourself, get yourself some proper Internet business training right from the start from people who have already been there and done it.

There’s a whole heap of training courses and programs out there. Some are reputable, others less so. And some are just a waste of time and money. There are a handful of good ones.

I’ve put together some reviews of the courses I’m most familiar with from my own experience. You can find out about them under the Training category. For more info check out Online Business Training Courses

Here’s wishing you success with your new online business!
